The peer revision style that was used for this piece was not something I had used before. Usually, peer editors would make a few comments about grammar and it turn they were not very helpful. But for this assignment, that was not the case. The comments that were given to me were very well thought out and had value to them. They allowed me to see where I needed to add more, or less, to my essay. My strength was when they asked me questions in their comments because I felt it was easy to build from a question. But, my downfall was when it was a positive comment where I was actually questioning what I had written; I wasn’t sure whether to keep it or delete it. I took a little getting used to to mesh with this style of peer review, but I really like it. I think self-assecessing where I thought I was and then comparing that to what my peer editors thought was beneficial. It allowed me to see where I was on track with my essay, and where I fell short.
